Happy Friday! It's lovely weather outside here in northern Germany, aka Hamburg.
I traveled a bit by train this week. It's always a good time to catch up with some stuff that recently happened.
Salesforce, Reddit, MediaMonks, and Polygon published a report on the future of loyalty. No matter if you think loyalty and blockchain need to have anything to do with each other, it is a good view of the dilemma that current loyalty programs have and where new technologies might be able to help.
Speaking of Loyalty. Collecting miles at Lufthansa was once a game of those who wanted to gain status, and to many, being a “Senator” was (or still is?) super important. So, it seems logical that Lufthansa is investigating new ways to enhance its loyalty program. "Uptrip" is their test ground for new ideas.
Tomorrowland is probably the most famous and largest Electronic Dance Music festival. Recently, they launched their NFT program, which gives you special access to certain perks. They sold all of them and made 2.2 Million dollars in revenue.
A drill down in an X-Thread.
MoonPay launches a venture arm to invest in web3 infrastructure, gaming, and fintech.
Adidas launched “Residency,” in their own words: “Residency marks our debut Web3-powered digital artist in residency program, poised to welcome a diverse array of digital artists hailing from across the globe.”
If you have not seen it, amazing art by Refik Anadol on “The Sphere” in Las Vegas.
Refik Anadol dropped a new NFT series yesterday. They look as amazing as he describes the idea: “Winds of Yawanawa is a collection of 1000 unique Data Paintings that harness weather data from the tribe’s village in the Amazon rainforest, including wind speed, gusts, direction, and temperature. This data then merges with the works of young Yawanawa artists, resulting in a mesmerizing play of traditional shapes, forms, textures and colors.”
They are all sold out, but you can get them on the secondary – for at least 15.000 USD!
Some updates from Sorare.
You want a Virtual G-Shock? No problem.
Justin Bieber, with Anotherblock, sold 2000 NFTs that give you a 0.0005% ownership of his song “Company.”
Make sure to take it easy today. Do something you enjoy or work on an idea you always had, even if it is just for one hour.
