Hi everyone, sorry for being a little quieter than usual. Luckily, I have lots to do. I am helping to build two companies, which is taking most of my focus.
But here is some fun stuff I stumbled over in the past few weeks.
I am a huge fan of Porter bags. They are expensive. But they are worth every cent. Porter just announced they are updating their Tanker series. It is hard to get them outside Japan, but there are a few stores where you can get them (Highsnobiety being one of them).
The full Tanker line here.
Tim Cook wore a custom pair of Nike in the recent Apple Keynote. Not too sure what to think about it. But the new iPad seems to be amazing.
Diptyque just opened a store in London a few days ago. “Diptyque is betting on immersive retail to drive higher sales and customer acquisition. The French fragrance brand is launching a new concept called “Maison Diptyque”, which offers a mix of culture, community, shopping and dining.”
Great article about “The unstoppable rise of Shein”.
I still remember when Ayrton Senna was driving his Formula 1 car in the early 90ies, and I will never forget his tragic accident in 1994, seeing it live on TV. Netflix just released a teaser for “Senna,” coming later in 2024:
Interesting to read how IKEA wants to increase AI knowledge inside the company.
Finally, a great use case of AI. Wendy's using “Fresh AI”. Seems to work:
A few weeks ago, Mercedes-Benz launched the new electric G-Class. Of course, it is in LA, where G-Classes' density is pretty high (Dubai probably close or beyond). Celebrities and the G-Class are a perfect match. So it is no surprise that Kendall Jenner and Bradley Cooper were hosting the event – with Travis Scott performing on the new G-Class.
Sadly I don't have enough spare money to buy a Steve Jobs business card with his signature on.
Apple robot? Following me at home? Not too sure about that.
That's it for now. Have a great rest of the week! If you have any questions or suggestions, drop a comment below or just reply.
And don't forget to follow me on LinkedIn.
